Billing, accounts receivable management, clearing & business intelligence - just a few keywords that indicate how complex the processes in financial accounting and billing are today. As a specialist for highly complex billing and financial accounting, nexnet GmbH from Berlin is characterized by holistic solutions, from Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) of complete processes, with a clear focus on user-friendliness.
"Compared to many other providers in our sector, we have been on the market for a very long time," says Ingo Hentschel, member of the management board. "We were founded over 20 years ago in the telecommunications industry."

"Our market competitors often offer standardized solutions as SaaS," he continues. "However, many companies have individual requirements. That's where we come in. We advise on implementation and offer everything as a standard or enterprise solution. Above all, we respond to the individual needs of our customers." One focus of the nexnet portfolio is debtor services. Financial accounting entries are made with a high degree of automation in close coordination with the customer.
Another pillar is billing. "Billing is a complex topic," says Ingo Hentschel. "It depends very much on the respective business model. For example, if a start-up in Berlin offers e-scooters for rent, the price depends on the area in which they are scattered and the time of day they are used. There are also usually discounts, for example for students." In addition to debtor management and billing, CRM solutions and clearing are other important components of the nexnet portfolio.
Today, companies from a wide range of industries rely on the expertise of the billing expert. These include companies from the telecommunications, automotive, finance, media, mechanical engineering, streaming and e-commerce sectors in general. Currently mainly active in Germany, nexnet plans to expand its activities in German-speaking Europe in the near future. "With our SaaS solutions, we can even imagine global activities," explains Ingo Hentschel.
Modular product structure
He looks to the future with confidence. "We live in a world in which individual needs are playing an increasingly important role," he says. "That's why we will increasingly focus on products, so that even small start-ups can gain easy access to our highly complex processes and services. Thanks to our many years of market experience, we are in a position to productize more and more features, i.e. to transfer them into SaaS products. Based on our experience, we are building products in a generic, modular way so that the proportion of individualization is constantly decreasing. This is an important user and price advantage for our customers. Our long-term goal is to further expand our leading role in (subscription) billing and financial accounting in the DACH region."
